Allegro

Designed in Melbourne for Melbourne conditions. The Allegro range includes flatbar city bikes, single speed and fixed gear bikes, hub gear bikes and more. These bikes are on the showroom floor and ready for test ride now. Allegro bikes are designed by Richard in Northcote. He has them built in Taiwan with strict controls over sourcing components from local manufacturers only. This minimises the environmental impact of production.
Allegro W3 women’s bike
The Allegro W3 is a bold step through design. It gives a very low step through frame for ease of mount/dismount. It is manufactured from high quality chromoly steel making it strong but not overly heavy.
It offers a high quality ‘package’ including rear carrier rack, chain guard, mudguards and kickstand. This makes for exceptional quality when compared to other bikes where all these accessories would add to the initial purchase price.
The Shimano 3 speed hub system gives ultra low maintenance, simplicity of use and access to the gears you need the most without getting lost in a derailleur system that may have up to 30 speeds.
Allegro W1 women’s bike
The W1 is a rock-solid commuting choice.
It has 24 speeds with a durable drivetrain. It has flatbars but we can easily fit a different style of handlebar (eg swept back bars or riser bars) and we can fit a stem riser to get the bars a couple of inches higher. Like all bikes, it comes with a fairly generic saddle that we can swap out for a more comfortable option.
Allegro W1x9 women’s bike
The W1x9 is the latest addition to Allegro’s range. It is a mixte style frame (with twin top tubes running straight back from the head tube to the dropouts).
The ’1×9′ refers to the gearing system, which is a single chainring and a 9 speed cassette. This is an alternative to standard derailleur gearing setups and also to hub gears: it gives an adequately wide range with a lot of options in between and at the same time not being too heavy.
