Brompton is our favourite brand of folding bike. Made in a small factory in West London and assembled to order, each bike is a unique and versatile inner city commuting solution. They are great to take on public transport, being small enough to squeeze into tight spaces between seats and light enough to carry up escalators.

Each Brompton bike is built according to customer specifications – Brompton call it the “B-spoke” system. Frame colour, handlebar set-up, gear selection, rack, mudguards, tyres and saddle can all be chosen to suit your requirements. There is an option for hub dynamo lighting, or even a “superlight” frame option.

There is also a wide range of Brompton bags and luggage, including bags that easily clip on and off a front carrier block.

For 2013, Brompton have appointed an Australian distributor, which means that commonly available items (including a range of pre-built bikes) are available with a greatly reduced wait-time. Otherwise, on custom builds, the lead time is around 8-10 weeks.

We currently have an M6L (in raw lacquer finish, $1940), and an M6R (in black, $1949) in stock for evaluation. You can take one out for a test ride or just practise your folding technique and, if you find you can’t wait, they’re also for sale!

We also have a good selection of spare parts on hand, and our mechanics are experienced in servicing and overhauling Bromptons old and new.
