Gazelle

Welcome! We’re excited you’ve navigated to our Gazelle Bicycles page because we’re excited about the Gazelle range.
We keep our favourite and most popular Gazelle bicycles in stock. Because the range is so broad, there are heaps of other models that we can special order if these are what you need.
Gazelle Innergy electric bikes
As a Gazelle Innergy specialist, we get enquiries for all around Victoria about the Innergy range. The Orange Pure Innergy is the latest model to be added. With a slightly lower purchase price, it provided a good balance of quality, latest technological developments and affordability – “affordable but well equipped”, as the boys at Gazelle Australia say.
The Innergy Pure offers genuine electric assist: when you pedal, the electric system cuts in and provides assistance. When you stop pedalling, the assistance stops too. This means that you are still riding a pedal bicycle, you just have an increased cycling range. You can get where you need to get to with less exertion, or can now use the bike for trips you were not able to cycle previously. This concept of electric assist differs markedly from ‘throttle operated’ e-bikes and means the bike is still a bicycle at heart.

Test ride the Innergy
We keep a number of frame sizes of the Innergy in stock. Please visit during our regular hours to evaluate the Innergy yourself or contact us to arrange another time if you have difficulty visiting during business hours.
What range do the different battery options give me?
Three different grade batteries are available for the 2011 Innergy bikes, giving a range of capacities. The Innergy Pure is supplied with the silver battery model.
The following diagram shows the ranges each level offers:

Chamonix Pure
The Chamonix Pure: modern, reliable and comfortable. The Chamonix Pure is the ultimate statement in urban cycling for transport: low maintenance and simple to use gears perfectly suited to Melbourne; low maintenance brakes; mudguards, chain case, skirt guards so you don’t need special clothing to cycle; integrated dynamo powered headlight and efficient tail light for maximum convenience and safety; plus a host of other features including rear carrier rack, strong kick stand and easily adjustable headstem to adjust the riding position at any time.
Cabby
We also keep the Gazelle Cabby in stock. It’s our favourite baby and child carrying bike. It’s one of our most popular models and we’re committed to modifying it to suit your needs.
Ok so a cargo bike isn’t for everyone. To get you started, we offer the Cabby for a 1 week trial for $80. And credit this toward the purchase price if at the end of the week you find it is the right choice for you.
This post details some of the reasons we recommend the Cabby so much and the MaxiCosi baby capsule that fits the Cabby to allow safe transport of infants.
We do some customising to each Cabby before it gets to the showroom. We’ve taken feedback from our customers and at no extra cost we:
- pad the steering linkage. It knocks against the frame otherwise.
- upgrade the front brake to a more powerful, safer model. Check these photos-
And here’s a list of some of the upgrades we can also make at reduced cost to your Cabby:
- Install longer seatpost to accomodate taller parents
- Lower gearing for Melbourne hills, depending on where you live
There are quite a few handy accessories Gazelle makes for the Cabby which we either keep in stock or can order in at short notice. We provide these at discounted pricing when purchased with your Cabby. They include:
- AXA Plug-in lock and lock holding bag
- Sun & rain cover
- Bucket cargo cover
- Maxi Cosi baby capsule adapters
- Switch water bottle compatible stem to mount waterbottle cages
- Allen key set with long 6mm
- Matching Basil panniers
- No tool tilt adjust seatpost

Hi!
Thanks for the info on the Cabby. I am interested in transporting my six month old in it. You mention the Maxi Cosi adaptor. Is this JUST for rear-facing 0-9kg child seats or will it fit ANY maxi cosi car seat? The reason I ask is my baby is between the two categories of car seat and I don’t know which type of Maxi Cosi to buy.
Hi- I have exactly the same question as Dan! any answers?
Hi James and Dan,
I’ve been following this up with Maxi Cosy and with Gazelle and so far haven’t got a definite answer.
I talked to Dan about this a few weeks ago and he’s going to drop in soon. He’s looking at an Opal model seat but from what I’ve been able to find it doesn’t look like it has the same connector system.
Cheers,
Bill
