Cabby

We always carry a Gazelle Cabby… it’s our favourite baby and child carrying bike and a popular seller (we’ve now sold more Cabbys than all other Australian bicycle shops combined). We offer it for tral at $80 a week for families who are interested and take this out of the purchase price if you go ahead. This post details why we recommend the Cabby so much and the MaxiCosi baby capsule that fits the Cabby to allow safe transport of infants.

We do a fair bit of customising to each Cabby before it gets to the showroom. We’ve taken feedback from our customers and at no extra cost we:

• swap the standard rear cog for a larger one to give a lower gear more suitable for Melbourne’s hills
• pad the steering linkage. It knocks against the frame otherwise
• supply an AXA plug in lock
• upgrade the front brake to a more powerful model. Check these photos-
