The Vivente World Randonneur comes in a range of configurations to suit different cycling needs and styles.
We’ve had the World Randonneurs in stock in the past (as per last year’s post World Randonneur: Ready for the open road) and this year we’ve taken the plunge to having all three models in stock.
The World Randonneur is one of a kind in offering a complete package. Not just bike and pannier bags but also Tubus expedition grade front and rear carrier racks, Shimano dynamo hub and Busch and Muller lights.
We’ll post photos of the new models shortly but from our initial testing we’re really happy with the changes. In particular, the move from a Hollowtech shimano crankset and outboard bearings to a Sugino triple crankset on a square taper bottom bracket spindle can offer benefits on longer and more remote trips.
World Randonneur spec correction 7/03/2012
In out March 2012 newsletter we discussed the specs of the different World Randonneur models.
The trekking bar version comes with a Pletscher double leg kickstand, and the bar-con version comes with a Tubus Duo front rack.
