New opening hours

A couple of months ago we opened Sundays. We’re now extending our weekday hours and will stay open till 6.30pm.
From 21st November, our new hours will be:
Monday – Friday 8.00am – 6.30pm
Saturday 10am-5pm
Sunday 11am-4pm
When our new café opens mid-December, we’ll extend our weekend hours… stay tuned!

A Human Powered July!

First things first, here’s a big congratulations to everyone for keeping on pedaling through the cold mornings and evenings!
With a good set of gloves and jacket the fresh mornings and evenings are great for cycling. With some mudguards and a good set of lights, even a bit of rain can be enjoyable! And even better, the days are getting longer and Spring is approaching fast…

Opening hours over Christmas/New Year’s

We’re extending our hours for the week before Christmas. You know how it goes…
Twas the week before Christmas, when all through the shop
Lots of bicycles were stirring, not even a mouse;
The helmets were hung by the fixed gear with care,
In hopes that Eddy Merx soon would be there;
The peleton was nestled all snug on their saddles,
While visions of full panniers danced in their heads;
A dutch cyclist in her high vis vest, and I in my cycling cap,
Had just settled our brains for a long winter’s ride;
The shop will be open …

BFF now underway

What a way to start
A massive THANK YOU to everyone that came down to the Festival Launch and Opening of the Sweet Ride Art Show curated by Ilana Russell on Thursday of last week. It was a super fun evening and everyone had a really great time – which bodes well for the next 2 weeks. Upcoming Human Powered social events

Dinner gathering
You are invited to the next Human Powered Cycles (and Cafe!) friends,
customers and staff get together.
Where: Bar Fred, 797 Nicholson St Carlton North
When: 7pm onwards, Thursday 16th July.
Bar Fred does great pizza and a huge range of local and imported beers.

There’s  still a little bit of work to do including wall and floor painting, cleaning out building materials and final food safety inspection but the cafe’s on track for opening in the next few weeks.
