Bill&#8217;s back from 4 weeks cycling in Europe. The first two weeks of this was with a big group checking out the Netherlands (check the Cycling Dutch Style blog). then 2 weeks for a quick trip through Copenhagen, Berlin and Paris. After a lot of back and forth with our distributor and waiting for these to arrive in the country, we&#8217;re happy to announce that Linus bikes are finally here!


The Linus brand has designed its bikes around a vintage aesthetic, with the use of lugged steel in the frame production, but also incorporate modern complementary with the 3-speed internal gearing hub to make riding around a dream.

		<description><![CDATA[I for one am gladdened to finally see some leadership in Australian politics regarding climate change. For too long our political leaders have had a &#8216;let&#8217;s wait and see what the rest of the world will do&#8217; stance so even though I don&#8217;t believe placing a price on carbon to be the best response (Let&#8217;s see carbons limits and  compulsory reductions on emissions) I will be attending the rally organised by Getup on this Saturday the 12 March.

Melbourne Bike Fest is coming! &#8220;Bikefest is a community initiated celebration of bikes in everyday life&#8221;&#8230; in the Bike Fest crew&#8217;s own words.
The Festival runs 24th to 28th November and there&#8217;s STACKS of stuff to catch including parties, award nights, film screenings, debates and of course bike maintenance sessions. We&#8217;re proud to be sponsoring the festival and contributing to such an awesome local event about bikes!

Note new venue for our General Meeting on Thursday 17 June, 7.00 for a 7:30 start: Fairfield Alphington RSL 7 Railway Place, Fairfield.  Across the road from the Fairfield railway station car park (south side).
There are a number of bike hoops at the station, and two outside Bean Counter Cafe two doors away (cnr Gillies St and Railway Place). Although there is nothing to lock your bike to, management are happy with bikes being parked on the
Good menu and drinks available.
