2012 Brompton World Championships!

The 7th annual Brompton World Championships is taking place this weekend in the UK. After a big year in 2011, with over 750 entrants from over 30 countries, 2012 is expected to be another huge year; especially with the growth in popularity of Bromptons this year.

Decapod rickshaw team… fundraiser!

Introducing the Decapods… they’re competing in the Rickshaw Run, a 3000km race across India raising money for charity.
And that’s where we come in. This Friday we’ll be here hosting the Decapods’ Melbourne fundraiser … come on down to Thornbury for some live music and a chance to meet Sylvie and the team!

New opening hours

A couple of months ago we opened Sundays. We’re now extending our weekday hours and will stay open till 6.30pm.
From 21st November, our new hours will be:
Monday – Friday 8.00am – 6.30pm
Saturday 10am-5pm
Sunday 11am-4pm
When our new café opens mid-December, we’ll extend our weekend hours… stay tuned!

Melbourne Bike Fest is coming! “Bikefest is a community initiated celebration of bikes in everyday life”… in the Bike Fest crew’s own words.
The Festival runs 24th to 28th November and there’s STACKS of stuff to catch including parties, award nights, film screenings, debates and of course bike maintenance sessions. We’re proud to be sponsoring the festival and contributing to such an awesome local event about bikes!

Catch us at the Darebin Kite Festival Sunday 14th March

Coming to the Kite Festival this Sunday (14th March)? Ride to Northcote’s All Nations park (behind the Northcote Plaza) for the Festival and leave you can leave your bike safe with the Human Powered crew for the day. We’ll be providing free valet bike parking between 10am and 5pm. And we’ll have some basic supplies to help where we can when it’s not too busy. You know, a pump and some lube.
