The Surly Big Dummy is a frame with the Xtracycle system integrated into it.

Around October-November is when the new season bikes start to arrive. We’ve now got a good range of new models built up for test ride.
Andy’s been shooting some great photos of some of these new bikes.

Since then, there’s a stack of other new arrivals including the Kona Dr Fine, some Surly models, Gazelle Cabby with a red box, and more Globe models.

The Long Haul Truckers and Crosschecks offer good platforms for setting up quality touring and commuting bikes.
In this case, a Trucker was chosen as the starting point. The bike will be carrying heavy loads with rear and front panniers plus the bar bag.
The bike will also be used extensively for city riding. By integrating a dynamo lighting system you get light when you need it. Good options in standard battery bike lights and dynamo bike lights have been available for a while but only recently have high quality and affordable USB rechargeable lights hit the market.

We’re now stocking and strongly recommending the Serfas USB front and rear lights. They’ve hit the balance of: very bright light output, long burn time, sturdy and universal mount, and well priced.

5 LED/ wide visibility
(Up to) 6.5/10 hours burn time for the front/rear lights
High beam/Low beam/Flashing modes

A few months ago we got our first Linus bike – the mixte. We had a very good reception to it and so we decided to get in their step-through model – the Dutchi!

Very similar to the mixte in component, the Dutchi has a very subtle differences that affect the ride-style.
Most obviously id the frame shape. The Dutchi has a sloped toptube in the style of Dutch bikes.

Secondly, the bars are in a more ‘upright’ position, meaning while riding, you sit up more than you would be on the mixte.

After a lot of back and forth with our distributor and waiting for these to arrive in the country, we’re happy to announce that Linus bikes are finally here!

The Linus brand has designed its bikes around a vintage aesthetic, with the use of lugged steel in the frame production, but also incorporate modern complementary with the 3-speed internal gearing hub to make riding around a dream.

The World Randonneur isn’t exactly a new addition to our range. We’ve special ordered quite a few of them for customers previously and concluded it made sense to have a few here for test rides. The bike is available in three configurations: trekking bar, drop bar or the deluxe drop bar with frame couplings for pack down.

Here’s a summary of the World Randonneur specs:

Full cr-mo frame and fork, double butted main tubes (S-XL sizes). Fully eyeletted. V/canti brake bosses front and rear plus front disc mount
