At Human Powered Cycles we love bikes. We love fixing them, we love riding them and we love talking about them. Our workshop can offer advice and assistance to get you out of trouble. Whether you ride a 40 year old vintage bike or a current model road or mountain bike, we can fix it. If you book ahead, we only need your bike in the workshop for one day. Otherwise we’ll do our best to get you going within a week.

Social ride this Friday!!

Stop! Wait! Too soon, too soon!! We were plannining our next social ride for the evening of the 5th March but it’s crept up mighty fast. So fast that we’re a bit under-prepared. So we’ve postponed.
The next social ride will be Friday 19th March.
Meet at HQ (562 High Street Thornbury) at 6.15pm
Bring your bike, your bike lights and something warm for if it cools down.

The HOTTEST February news

Hi Folks!
With such perfect cycling weather, everyone’s riding their bike! So we’ve announced some super package bike deals. These deals are full city riding commuting packages, not just a bike!
Also announcing our presentation at this year’s Sustainable Living Festival and our next social ride on Friday 5th March… we’re looking  forward to another chilled out sunset ride along the bike paths.

Talkin’ about folding bikes… your opinion is sought

Human Powered Cycles senior mechanic Lewis rides a number of small wheel folding bikes. He rides his Brompton folding bike to the shop, fold it up and leave it on the staff shelf… the rest of us park in a range of kinda in the way places out the front or in the showroom. We’ve sold a number of Brompton and Dahon folding bikes and will continue doing so. HPC’s January newsletter: the year of the bicycle!

We’re back! And what a scorching start to the year… not just the temperature but also more people pedalling around town!
