Surly Big Dummy frame in stock

Until recently I felt quite unexcited about the Xtracycle system, then I put together one of the new recycled plastic decks and Yepp/PeaPod childseats and now I can see more possibilities than ever.
With this you can carry two little ones on the back, or one little one and one bigger one. And then if you like two bigger ones, the only problem I can see is they can’t pedal…
The Surly Big Dummy is a frame with the Xtracycle system integrated into it.
We have one of the older Dummy frames in stock …

Another Trucker hits the road

The Long Haul Truckers and Crosschecks offer good platforms for setting up quality touring and commuting bikes.

The bike will also be used extensively for city riding. By integrating a dynamo lighting system you get light when you need it. The Busch and Müller IQ Fly plus headlight is a headlight we often recommend: ‘plus’ means it means includes standlicht, or standlight, (ie: it stays …

Custom work on the Long Haul Trucker

Each cyclist has their own requirements and preferences for a bike. This is particularly so for touring bikes for a few reasons (long and frequent periods on the bike, load carrying requirements, terrain and conditions, requirements for high levels of reliability on the Long Haul etc).
The standard Long Haul Trucker is a great starting point for a touring bike, and in this case the customising focused around the cyclist-to-bicycle interface (high bars, different shifter positions, interruptor levers) and touring equipment (front and rear racks, light mounts, pannier bags and handlebar …
