Gazelle Cabby – the best option for carrying kids

8 April 2010 Posted by bill No Comments

Every time another Gazelle Cabby arrives, someone takes it for a test ride and decides it’s the bike for their family!

The Cabby is an extremely well engineered child carrying bike and is the best option for hauling kids from newborn until the total weight of your little ones gets to 75Kgs.

Our experience, plus feedback from customers is that two-wheel ‘boxbikes’ are more agile, faster and easier than three-wheelers (like the Christiania).

Gazelle’s build quality is exceptional. A full range of spare parts and accessories (including rain and sun covers, rear rack child seat) are available.

When we set these bikes up we modify them to be appropriate for Melbourne conditions (as detailed under Bikes -> Gazelle -> Cabby).

We also offer the Cabby on a one week evaluation scheme so you can test that it’s actually the ride bike for you. We charge $80 for this service. You can reserve the next available booking by contacting us. If you do go ahead and purchase the Cabby we credit the evaluation fee to the purchase price, in fact you can just ring through credit card payment and not even need to drop back into the shop!

Also, ask about package deals as a number of interested parents have expressed interest in options including the sun and rain covers and other accessories.. we offer extremely competitive pricing on packages.

    Baby capsule

Lots of parents who come in to discuss the Cabby have asked about the baby capsule for transporting a newborn in the Cabby.

Gazelle Australia stocks the MaxiCosi baby capsule adaptor. We can order this and supply it with your Cabby:

MaxiCosi baby capsules are available online, they are not sold in Australia yet and are not yet certified to Australian Standards for car use.

BabyTrader is an example of a European company selling MaxiCosis online. Word on the street is that the MaxiCosi is around AU$400 including delivery.
