I’ve got to admit to a bad habit. I like doing tricks on my bike. Joel calls it ‘extreme riding’. I just call it fun. Except when I stack, which happens sometimes. Whether you saddle abrades from an unexpected fall or from leaning it against your garden fence, over time this can be the death of a cheap saddle. The worn patches tear, the saddle becomes uncomfortable to ride and will fill with water when it rains… not cool!

Any scratches or abrasions on a Brooks will polish out with a tiny bit of Proofhide leather treatment. No problem!

Brooks Swift limited edition

The Brooks model that prompted this web post is the Swift Limited Edition colour saddle. We restrained ourselves and only ordered a couple last year when they were offered – one red and one blue.
