Gday Folks,
A strange thing happens at this time of year when otherwise enthusiastic and, dare we say, zealous cyclists stop riding their bikes! The roads will soon be deserted but for the lone commuter, appropriately clad in waterproofs and pushing their well maintained, albeit mud-splattered bike along the grey streets of Melbourne. And YES, good on them! Because why would you travel any other way?

Cargocycles are throwing another Cargobike Picnic in December. If you’ve got a cargo bike we’d recommend heading down for a great day out with fellow cargo bikers. And even if you don’t have a cargo bike yet it’s a great event to head to as they have cargo bikes on display and for testing and will be able to answer some questions you may have.
All the info can be found on the cargocycles website.

Who doesn’t love a good custom built bike? Even better when it’s Australian made, right?

Well if your answer to either of them was ‘yes’ then you may want to check this out. Andy White AKA Fyxomatosis has organised the first ever Australian Custom Built Bicycle Show. Australia had a raft of frame builder back in the 70s and 80s but things definitely slowed down down up until recently. With a surge in Australian frame builders (both new and returning veterans) spilling out of the woodworks, Andy thought it a great ...

Next year we are hoping to cater for a more diverse range of interests. If anyone out there has some specific area of interest, and we can get enough numbers, we will run with the theme. So if your having trouble understanding hub gears, or maybe would love an introduction ...
