Melbourne Bike Fest is coming! “Bikefest is a community initiated celebration of bikes in everyday life”… in the Bike Fest crew’s own words.
The Festival runs 24th to 28th November and there’s STACKS of stuff to catch including parties, award nights, film screenings, debates and of course bike maintenance sessions. We’re proud to be sponsoring the festival and contributing to such an awesome local event about bikes!

The Human Powered Approach to Home Bike Maintenance
Announcing one of the most exciting workshops at this year’s Sustainable Living Festival! We’ll be presenting an introduction to cycling and bike maintenance, this workshop is aimed at starting out cyclists and those already cycling but who are not yet familiar with the bike maintenance basics. BYO Bike for an instructive session with qualified mechanics!

2010 is officially the year of the bicycle. Well, at least at Human Powered Cycles it is!
Looking after your bike properly is essential to safe, efficient cycling. The classes we run will teach you about the week to week, month to month maintenance that every bike needs. It’s certainly not a substitute for regular servicing but it will help keep servicing expenses low.

A couple of months to go till the 2010 Sustainable Living Festival. Next year’s will be held at Federation Square in the city again from 19th till the 21st February. We’ve been proactive and worked out a nice little contribution from the land of the bicycle…

Due to popular demand we’re scheduling bike maintenance training sessions for January and February. Here are the dates and some details of the upcoming training session. We’re moving from Saturday trainings to week night trainings. This means the shop is closed and there are no interruptions or distractions.
