Servicing

Booking Ahead

We know how inconvenient it can be having your bike off the road. If you call or email ahead to make a booking, we can have it ready for you the same day. All we need is your full name and contact details.

Of course, there’s always a small possibility we don’t have a required part and an unexpected delay occurs. In this case, hopefully a courtesy bike is useful in the mean time. Please let us know if you require a courtesy bike when you book.

Standard Service

To ensure your bike is roadworthy and running smoothly. In general, this work should be done every 6 months but this will vary depending on usage patterns.

Pricing from $80 plus parts but, of course, we need to see the bike to confirm this work is necessary and sufficient.

Within this service, we perform work from the following list, focusing on the things your bike needs most.

Bring your bike in for a detailed, written quote.

Here’s an example of what we may do:

  • Easy riding… Inspect and adjust hubs, wipe down and lube chain, gears and cables
  • Good stopping… Clean rims and brake pads, or replace if needed
  • Stop the rattles… Tighten rack bolts and other accessories
  • And make it safe and legal… Safety check and test ride
  • Provide written report and itemised invoice of work performed, any issues identified and charges applied

Full Overhaul

Again, we don’t give a flat figure without seeing your bike. A full overhaul starts from $200 plus parts.
This is our eighteen monthly recommended service. This can include Standard Service work plus work as required from the following list:

  • Servicing hubs
  • Headset service or replacement
  • Bottom bracket work
  • Replace brake and/or gear cables, both inner and outer
  • Wheels trued and tension check
  • Hanger and dropout alignment and frame spacing check

Again, an itemised invoice and job report is included for your records.

Courtesy bikes

While your bike is in for service, we have courtesy bikes available at no charge. Booking ahead and indicating your wish for a courtesy bike helps us reserve one
